If they are not dissolved in the water, the indicator cannot form a complex with them and your end point will not be the true end point of the titration. This answer to the problem sounds legit to me. Conclusion We could not get useful knowledge from this experiment, since we did not succeed in the practical, and no calculations was done based on results. However, we should learn to analyze what was done wrong.
